Hey Norm, you did Papo proud!! I enjoyed every word and remembered every line of what happened. He definitely keeps our lives lively and full of good humor. Sometimes a bit scary for this mom/wife. But I wouldn’t change any of it. He lights up everyone’s lives literally. And I mean literally Everyone 😱😀😇🤣. Can’t wait for the next read. Mom 🤗

I never liked The Three Stooges...but your stories about Pappo made me laugh. So, how did you ever turn out "normal"? (lol, just kidding!!)

Oh dear Lordy. Pappo stories remind me of tales told by my brother-in-law’s relative of some degree that escapes me. The relative’s poppa or uncle or some such had an old beater cargo van he was under strict instructions NOT to transport children in.

So if course poppa/uncle loaded up the van with kiddos. There were no actual seats in the van, but poppa/uncle provided folding lawn chairs. Just as good!?

The beater van had sort of a dicey clutch and at one stop, poppa/uncle popped the clutch a little too vigorously. The kid in the “back seat” was propelled backwards into the van’s rear doors, which helpfully flew open.

Imagine the surprise of the car behind them when an astronaut in a lawn chair manifested itself smack in front of them. Fortunately the driver had good reflexes and did not run over the dazed child. Poppa/uncle imparted wise advice to the child: “don’t tell your mother!”
