In junior high, one of my teachers gave us a questionnaire on the first week. One of the questions was about our future professional aspirations, and I believed becoming a ninja was a legitimate career path for me. So that’s what I wrote. Ninja. Unsurprisingly, the teacher asked me to stay after class the next day.
I, too, would have preferred ninja. But you'll have to settle for ninja of literature with similes like throwing stars, always hitting the mark and embedded deeply in the reader's psyche. Plus, you're right about Raymond's post game. Sad.
Norm, be careful what you model for your children. If you remember, your son Sam was quite the ninja at 7 years old. If I could add the photo to this post🥷
I took that same novel writing workshop, at the urging of another former student of Ray's who went on to become a successful novelist and led a CSU journalism department. That one semester gave me the perspective and insights I'd need to finish my novel, improving it greatly along the way. Ray's knowledge about the art and craft of writing—and the ability to see what is working and what isn't in a manuscript—is unparalleled. Plus, he's an all-around good egg. Happy to know him and call him a friend.
lol, I love this, also hi i'm new.
It’s a perfect love letter
:)

Ninja of Literature. There's a title.
Currently, reading The Hour Thief. Or rather, trying to keep up with it. The man's imagination is ridiculous.
No argument there.
Another great one,Norm!! Thx!🤣❤️🥰👏
Laura, you’re the best! Thx for reading. :)
