I don't remember my honey moon, but I do remember my divorce. That is what it means to get married because you think you're supposed to when you are 21, and not actually "in love" as I hadn't experienced that yet. My gift was two beautiful children. So it served a purpose, at least. Be careful on future honeymoon ventures. The world is not the same, as you have clearly noticed.
I'd say when you feel like you're "supposed to" do something, it's best practices to run like hell. Though two beautiful children is a solid consolation. ;)

I hitchhiked through Europe a couple times, and had similar experiences. But I didn't have a woman like your wife to protect me.
